OurStory
R&J Construction has its roots in the 1970s, when founders Ron and Jim worked on and off for George Longchamps Construction, Ron’s father’s remodeling company. Then, in 1985, the two partnered to build a speculative home, and after its successful sale in 1986, R&J Construction was officially born. We incorporated that year and haven’t looked back since.
In those early days, we handled nearly every trade in-house—from grading and foundations to framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall, finish carpentry, painting, and tile.

Over time, as our team matured and evolved, we began to subcontract select trades while keeping core skills within our company. This hands-on experience in all aspects of construction has given us a deep understanding of the build process. It allows us to communicate effectively with our subcontractors and offer knowledgeable, practical guidance to our clients.
Today, R&J Construction remains a true custom builder—every project we take on is a one-of-a-kind creation tailored to the client’s vision.
